Biopolyfood
I am Maxime Demême, independent consultant and founder of Biopolyfood.
It all started with a passion for materials — their transformation, and their infinite possibilities. During my studies, including a Master’s degree specializing in polymers, I discovered extrusion : a process that is both technical and creative, capable of turning complex raw materials into high-value products.
For over nine years, I had the opportunity to contribute to the growth of two industrial startups, in the fields of biopolymers and plant-based meat alternatives. These experiences were decisive: they allowed me to develop solid expertise in extrusion, working closely with R&D, production teams, external partners, and market needs.
In the most recent of these companies, I was in charge of leading the Extrusion division. I oversaw projects from fundamental research in the lab to full-scale industrialization, through technical piloting, prototyping, and scale-up. This global vision taught me how to connect science, technology, and industrial reality, and to turn ambition into tangible results.
Over time, the desire grew to put this experience at the service of other companies.
That’s how Biopolyfood was born : an independent, human-scale structure dedicated to the technical and strategic support of extrusion projects.
